SYCAMORE – The city and Kishwaukee College have partnered on a new leadership training program for city employees, Sycamore U, according to a news release from the college.

The course begins in January, and there is still room to enroll, the release says. It’s a four-course program that will take place at City Hall, 308 W. State St. one night a week. The courses are part of the Associate in Applied Science in Marketing Management degree at Kish. Graduates will get a leadership certificate.

“Our vision is an opportunity for employees to empower their education,” said Maggie Peck, the city’s human resources director. We picked four courses, with the help of Kish College, that we believe will help employees grow.”
