Monday’s inclement weather forced numerous athletic events involving Greenwich-based teams to be postponed and rescheduled.
Brunswick School’s FAA Tournament quarterfinal round game against visiting St. Luke’s, which was scheduled to be held on Monday, was rescheduled for Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
The FAA boys and girls tennis championships, which were supposed to take place Monday at Greens Farms Academy, was postponed. The boys and girls championships will be competed on Tuesday at Sound Shore Indoor Tennis Center in Port Chester, N.Y.
Greenwich High’s baseball team, which needs to defeat Trinity Catholic in its regular season finale to qualify for the Class LL Tournament, will visit the Crusaders on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. The game was originally slated for Monday.
The Cardinals’ softball team, which is currently in eighth place in the FCIAC standings, plays Trinity Catholic on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in a rescheduled game. The game, originally scheduled for Monday, will be played at Bruce Park Field in Greenwich.
Greenwich’s boys golf team’s match against FCIAC rival New Canaan was postponed on Monday and will be held on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Country Club of New Canaan.
In girls golf, Greenwich’s match against Staples Monday was postponed until Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Longshore Golf Club in Westport. Greenwich’s girls track and field team’s meet against Staples was rescheduled for Thursday at 4 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium.
