From the Santa Fe New Mexican:

Dec. 20, 1968: Santa Fe’s Planning Commission Thursday night approved a suggestion that College Street, Old Santa Fe Trail and Old Pecos Trail all be renamed Old Santa Fe Trail.

Dec. 20, 1993: At a time when savoring the joy of the Christmas season would normally be the main concern of Santa Fe’s Roman Catholic community, parishioners were urged Sunday to come together as a family and support the church in its season of need.

Those who attended masses throughout the archdiocese Sunday heard their priests read an appeal from Archbishop Michael Sheehan.

It calls for parishes to contribute whatever they can to help the Archdiocese of Santa Fe raise about $50 million to settle 41 lawsuits filed by people claiming they were sexually assaulted by priests in the archdiocese.
