84-year-old Chadron man injured in crash
CHADRON — An 84-year-old Chadron man suffered serious injures in a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision Saturday.
According to information released by the Chadron Police Department, officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street in response to an injury accident involving a pedestrian on Saturday at about 9:17 p.m.
Quinten Hugh was attempting to cross the street in front of the Eagle Movie Theatre and did not use the crosswalk, when he was struck by a northbound Ford F250 pick-up, driven by a 17year-old male. Quinten was transported to the Chadron Community Hospital and, due to the severity of his injuries, was later transferred to Regional West Medical Center via Medlink Air, Life Flight.
Hugh is listed in serious condition. Neither drugs nor alcohol is suspected to be involved.
The Chadron Police Department was assisted by the Nebraska State Patrol and the Chadron Fire Department.
