JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) _ Brent Beamer scored 13 points, including the go-ahead basket with 1:57 left to play, leading Niagara to a 53-50 win Sunday that stopped St. Peter’s nine-game winning streak.

The Peacocks’ streak was their longest since 1982. The loss came in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Luis Arrosa, who also scored all of his points in the second half, led St. Peter’s with 13 points. Brian Griffith added 10 points for the Peacocks.
