Teen Pleads Guilty in Attack Plot
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) _ One of three boys accused of plotting a Columbine-style attack at their junior high school pleaded guilty Tuesday.
Chad Meininger, 15, was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. He agreed to cooperate in the prosecution of two other students in exchange for prosecutors seeking a suspended jail term at his sentencing March 28.
Alexander Vukodinovich and Scott Parent, both 14, are charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and being aggravated juvenile offenders. Vukodinovich also is charged with felony menacing.
Authorities say they found detailed plans and graphic drawings suggesting the boys planned to shoot students and explode a propane tank at their school, Preston Junior High.
Erik Fischer, an attorney for Vukodinovich, has said the boys never intended to follow through on the threats and were remorseful about making them.
