Sabres Beat Senators 5-1

ST. CATHARINES, Ontario (AP) _ Miroslav Satan and Chris Taylor each had three assists to help the Buffalo Sabres beat the Ottawa Senators 5-1 in a preseason game Sunday night.

Buffalo’s Andrew Peters scored a goal in front of a hometown crowd, and Ales Kotalik, Milan Bartovic, Norm Milley, and Jay McKee also scored for the Sabres, who finished the preseason 3-2-1-2 record.

Josh Langfeld scored for the Senators (7-1-1), who got their first preseason loss.

Martin Biron made 31 saves for Buffalo. Ottawa’s Ray Emery stopped 18 shots.
