KODAK BLACK PLEADS NOT GUILTY IN WEAPONS CASE

MIAMI (AP) _ Kodak Black is out on bail after pleading not guilty yesterday to federal weapons charges, but that may not keep him out of jail. Yesterday, a judge in Miami granted him release on $550,000 with house arrest. Black is charged with falsely filling out federal forms on two occasions when buying weapons. He was arrested just before his scheduled performance at the Rolling Loud Festival last weekend. Prosecutors say Black was already out on bail as he awaits trial for a sexual assault case in South Carolina, and the new charges in Florida mean his bail will likely be revoked. Black’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, says Black voluntarily turned himself in when he learned there was a warrant for his arrest. Black also was arrested recently in New York on a drug and weapons charged as he crossed the U.S. border from Canada.

MICK JAGGER ROCKS OUT IN DANCE STUDIO

UNDATED (AP) _ Who knew Mick Jagger was a fan of the British band The Wombats? He posted a video of himself dancing to The Wombats’ song “Techno Fan.” That’s significant because in March he had health problems -- reportedly a heart valve issue -- that were bad enough to force the cancellation of the Rolling Stones tour. He appears to have lost none of his mobility and moves just the way you remember. The Rolling Stones have not yet announced rescheduled dates.

SELENA GOMEZ SPEAKS OF THE ILLS OF SOCIAL MEDIA

CANNES, France (AP) _ Selena Gomez believes social media is an awful thing. This, from the person who was, until this past October, the most-followed person on Instagram. Gomez said at a press conference at the Cannes (CAN) Film Festival in France that for her generation specifically, “social media has been really terrible.” She says it leaves young people exposed and unaware of the news. Gomez appears in the upcoming movie “The Dead Don’t Die,” which is about zombies affected by environmental problems, but social media is a lesser theme in the film. Bill Murray stars, and the cast includes Tom Waits, RZA (RIH’-zah), Sturgill Simpson and Iggy Pop.
