Sewage overflow cleaned in Tamarac Village
HAMLIN TWP. — Tamarac Village had a small sewage overflow at a property within its complex last Friday, and it was cleaned up the same day.
Wade Rosted, the regional vice president of Sun Communities that oversees Tamarack Village, said less than five gallons of sewage flowed into a yard at 2751 Birch St. in Hamlin Township. Rosted said a root ball from a tree put a hole into the sewage line, and it was repaired.
The tree is still in place, Rosted said, and problem root was removed. The sewage was cleaned up and powdered lime was used.
Just the one residence as affected by the spill, he said.
