Bloomsburg senior Nick McGuire (Crestwood) qualified for the PSAC Track & Field Championships at 5,000 meters after posting a personal best mark of 15:18 Saturday on Senior Night at BU. McGuire is also qualified for the PSAC championships at 10,000 meters.

Cincinnati sophomore Katie Kravitsky (Dallas) placed fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.61 meters at the Lyles/Wood Invitational on Saturday.

Lehigh sophomore Madisyn Hawkins (Coughlin) finished second overall in the pole vault, clearing 3.65 meters at the Penn Relays on Saturday.

Villanova sophomore Taryn Ashby (Pittston Area) cleared 46.08 meters to finish ninth overall in the javelin at the Penn Relays last week. Ashby is now the Wildcats’ first women’s thrower in six years to qualify for the championship section of the javelin.

Penn freshman Marc Minichello (Wyoming Area) recorded a runner-up finish Saturday, launching a throw of 68.57 meters in the men’s javelin championship at the Penn Relays.


Scranton freshman Josh Lydon (Dallas) made an appearance in the ninth inning, punching out the final three batters, helping the Royals take the series against Elizabethtown on Sunday.

Cabrini sophomore JD Barrett (Dallas) accounted for three runs scored, two hits and an RBI in a 29-11 victory over Delaware Valley last week.

Chesapeake sophomores Livian and Dayan Reinoso (Hazleton Area) are leading the Skipjacks offensively in the final stretch of April. In the final five games on the month, Livian has eight runs scored, five hits and five RBIs, while Dayan has seven runs scored, nine hits and 10 RBIs.

St. John’s sophomore Ryan Hogan (Valley West) went 3 for 4 and scored twice in a 6-3 victory over Stony Brook last week.

Maryland sophomore Justin Vought (Valley West) hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning to lead the Terps to a 6-4 victory against Penn State on Saturday.

Bloomsburg sophomore Kyle OFier (Pittston Area) is leading the team with eight home runs, with another on Saturday against Lock Haven. Senior Jeremy Zezza (Wyoming Area) recorded two saves on the mound over the weekend.

Millersville junior Tyler Yankosky (Valley West) earned his fourth save of the season on the mound in a 2-1 thriller against East Stroudsburg.

East Stroudsburg freshman Chase Nowak (Coughlin) got the call to the mound and recorded the biggest save of his career so far, leading the Warriors to a 4-2 victory over No. 9 Millersville.

Lackawanna sophomore Grant Powell (Valley West) is second on the team for wins on the mound this season with six.


Binghamton freshman Morgan Bienkowski (Holy Redeemer) recorded a complete-game victory, her fourth of the season, allowing four hits, one run and fanning six against Maine on Saturday.

Morgan State junior Haylee Bobos (Hanover Area) led the Bears to a three-game sweep over the weekend against Coppin State with five hits, five RBIs and a home run.

Pitt-Johnstown sophomore Kristen Coffay (Holy Redeemer) came away with two wins in the circle this past week. Coffay pitched a two-hit shutout against Clarion and worked her way through a complete game against IUP.

Lycoming freshman Morgan Klosko (Valley West) drove in the only two runs in the 2-0 season finale over Alvernia on Saturday.

Kutztown sophomore Jenna Lipowski (Nanticoke Area) posted four hits and two RBIs in a critical 13-7 win over East Stroudsburg on Saturday to help clinch a PSAC tournament berth.

Women’s Lacrosse

Keystone junior Savanna Robinson and senior Alex Smith (Coughlin) combined for six goals and two assists in a thrilling, 12-11 season finale win last week vs. Bryn Athyn. Keystone won ten in a row to finish regular-season play.
