New president chosen for Georgia Gwinnett College
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — A new president has been chosen to lead Georgia Gwinnett College.
University System of Georgia Chancellor Hank Huckaby said in a statement Tuesday that current Interim President Stas Preczewski has been chosen to serve as the school’s permanent president.
Huckaby says as interim president, Preczewski has shown that he’s ready and qualified to lead the Lawrenceville-based college. Huckaby calls the decision an excellent move for the school’s future.
Before serving as interim president, Preczewski had worked as vice president for academic and student affairs since the school was founded in 2005.
Officials say Preczewski has a master’s in strategic planning from the United States Naval War College and a master’s in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of Massachusetts.
