Louisville police shoot suspect during confrontation
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — An investigation is underway after police shot a suspect during a confrontation at a shopping center in northern Colorado.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports Louisville officers were responding to possible illegal drug activity Thursday evening and opened fire during an altercation. Police Chief David Hayes did not say if the suspect was armed or what led to the shooting.
It’s also still unclear how many officers fired their weapons and how many times the suspect was hit. No officers were injured.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, is being treated at a hospital. Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty says the person who was shot has “several warrants outstanding in various jurisdictions.”
