Pocatello man facing drug-related charges in Bannock County
POCATELLO — A 31-year-old Pocatello man is facing drug-related charges in Bannock County.
Donald W. Lee has been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for using drug paraphernalia or possessing it with the intent to use it, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records.
The charges were filed after officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Wayne Avenue and Walnut Street on Wednesday, said Lt. Eric Anderson with the Pocatello Police Department. They contacted Lee, who was sitting in a vehicle, at that location.
Lee told officers that he was on probation and that he had needles in his jacket pocket. Police removed 13 needles from the man’s jacket, Anderson said, adding that they also found a spoon and a small amount of heroin.
Police subsequently took Lee into custody for possession of heroin and cited him for having drug paraphernalia.
