FARMINGTON, Maine (AP) — A 42-year-old Maine man and his son face sentencing after pleading guilty to furnishing morphine to a woman who died of an overdose after her birthday party.

Roy Gordon and his son, 23-year-old Seth Gordon, pleaded guilty Friday in Franklin County Superior Court to unlawful furnishing of a scheduled drug in connection with the 2012 death of Roy Gordon's girlfriend, 52-year-old Marilyn Rider.

The Sun Journal (http://bit.ly/1629Asw ) reported that their sentences will be capped at two years in a plea agreement with prosecutors. Sentencing is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 1.

Five people in all were arrested on felony drug charges following Rider's death at her Farmington home. Four out of the five have pleaded guilty, while the fifth has requested a trial.
