KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) _ Ten people died when a river overflowed after torrential rains and washed away a house 50 miles east of Katmandu, the Nepalese national news agency said today.

The report said the incident occurred at Hawa village. It said 13 members of a Sherpa family and six guests were in the house when the landslide occurred.

It said eight people were injured.
