MONROE, La. (AP) _ Haashim Simmons and Anthony Cook connected on eight of 12 3-point goals in the second half Thursday night and Northeast Louisiana extended the nation’s 10th-longest homecourt winning streak with a 91-66 victory over Stephen F. Austin.

Simmons connected on six of 14 long-range goals from long range and Cook made five of 10 as Northeast (10-9 overall, 7-3 Southland Conference) made 11 of 30 3-point shots.

Stephen F. Austin (9-10, 5-5) took 13 3-point shots and made just three in losing for the fourth time in its last five games.

SFA, which trailed by just 38-31 at halftime, was within 49-44 with 13:58 to play, but Simmons and Cook hit back-to-back treys to start a 20-8 run which put Northeast in control at 69-52 with 7:54 remaining.

Simmons finished with 24 points and Cook had 19. Forward John Stokes added 10 points and 14 rebounds. Nick Dillon chipped in 14 points and Marcus Anthony 10.

Keith Tate led the Lumberjacks with 18 points. Wayne Allen had 17 and Davanzio Carter 16.
