ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) _ A field of 12 headed by Lady Maxine D. and Silent Arrival was entered Thursday to run in Saturday's $100,000-added California Breeders' Champion Stakes at Santa Anita.

Lady Maxine D., to be ridden by Thomas Chapman, and Silent Arrival, with Luis Ortega in the saddle, were assigned co-high weights of 121 pounds for the seven-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies foaled in California.

T.V. Residual, who will be ridden by Chris McCarron, and She's a Talent, with Alex Solis up, were assigned 116 pounds each. The other eight entries were assigned 114 pounds apiece - Miami Lu, who will be ridden by Antonio Castanon; Trauma Time, Jack Kaenel; Eagle's Music, Patrick Valenzuela; Wina Jackpot, Ray Sibille; Skip Schoon, Laffit Pincay; Flying Hill, Eddie Delahoussaye; Balcony Pass, Rafael Meza, and Violin Melody, Gary Stevens.

If all 12 entries go to the post, the total purse will be $119,900 and the winner will earn $74,900. Entries will be drawn Friday for Sunday's $80,000- added Palos Verdes Handicap, a six-furlong race for horses of all ages.
