Bridgeport FD worker named Employee of the Year
BRIDGEPORT — The Assistant Special Projects Manager for the Bridgeport Fire Department was named Employee of the Year in the city on Thursday.
Gail Bottillo was presented the award by Mayor Joe Ganim on behalf of the city and the fire department. She was nominated by Fire Chief Richard Thode.
Bottillo coordinated all of the fire department’s recent swearing in ceremonies and the recent awards ceremony. Thode praised Bottillo’s devotion to city firefighters and said she always made sure to attend fire department events, even if they happened after-hours.
“Gail’s attitude and commitment are second to none,” Thode.
In a post on Facebook the department said, “Thank you for a job well done and congratulations!!!”
