Police: Pair robbed seller in online deal
Fort Wayne police arranged for the suspected robbers to buy an iPhone X for $350.
They parked their undercover truck at the Family Dollar sign on the southeast corner of Anthony Boulevard and McKinnie Avenue, directly in front of the Cash America Pawn Shop, at 7 p.m. May 12, expecting to meet the men about 8 p.m., according to court documents.
The two suspects were at Ya Boy Fish & Chicken across the street, they said.
When one of the two, Desmond Gentry, 18, of the 1300 block of McKinnie, stepped toward the undercover truck, his accomplice, Julius A. Dinwiddie, also 18, of the 2000 block of Hobson Road, headed back toward Ya Boy.
