Winter’s grip on the region leads to another postponement in NU’s home baseball schedule
The snow doesn’t appear to leaving the ground any time soon, and it’s forcing a longer delay to the Nebraska baseball team’s home opener.
The Huskers announced Wednesday that their March 13 game against North Dakota State has been postponed due to snowy field conditions. The teams are looking into dates to make up the game.
Fans who had tickets to the game can use them for when it is rescheduled.
Nebraska was originally scheduled to begin its home season Tuesday against Omaha. But winter’s grip on the region led to a postponement, as well as the Huskers moving this weekend’s three-game series against Baylor from Haymarket Park to Waco, Texas. Friday’s series opener is set for 6:30 p.m.
As of now, Nebraska’s three-game home series against New Mexico State, set for March 15-17, is still on.
