Rodney Lee Good, 71, of Goshen, Ind., passed away Thursday (Aug. 23, 2018) at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Ind.
He was born Nov. 8, 1946, in Kankakee, the son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Brosseau) Good. His parents preceded him in death.
On Jan. 20, 1968, in Kankakee, he married Suzanne Marie “Susie” Guimond. She survives, along with four children, Bryan L. Good, of Elkhart, Ind., Brandon W. (Rebecca) Good, of Granger, Ind., Bradlee T. Good, of Lafayette, Ind., and Ashlee M. Good, of Elkhart, Ind.; six grandchildren, Miranda Good, Chase Baker, Jacob Baker, Christian Good, Emerson Good and Evrett Good; and two sisters, Linda Good and Jayne (Gregory) Roberts, all of Phoenix, Ariz.
Rodney served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1967 and received an honorable discharge. He worked for the New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail Railroads from 1968 to 1990 and retired as a conductor/brakeman.
He was a member of AA for more than 36 years and a former member of the Moose Lodge. Rodney enjoyed fishing, gardening, bowling and was an all-around handyman who could work on or fix anything.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be at a later date.
