RICHMOND, Va. (AP) _ Richard Zednik scored a power-play goal late in the third period as the Washington Capitals rallied with three final-period goals to beat the Nashville Predators 4-3 Thursday night.

The Capitals, who outshot the Predators 43-18, trailed 3-1 going into the final period before Brad Bellows scored on assists from Adam Oates and Dmitri Mironov 1:12 into the period.

Ten minutes later, Oates and Mironov combined to feed Calle Johnson on a power-play goal.

A holding penalty against the Predators’ J.J. Daigneault at the 11:21 mark gave the Capitals a man advantage. Sixteen seconds later, Zednik scored the game-winner on an assist by forward Chris Simon.

Former Capital Andrew Burnette gave Nashville a 1-0 lead with a goal 24 seconds into the game. After Zednik tied the score 40 seconds later, Jamie Heward scored on a Predator power play for a 2-1 lead.

Blair Atcheynum made it 3-1 with a goal late in the second.
