Donald C. Baldwin pool closed for repairs
A broken pipe at the Donald C. Baldwin Community Pool will not only cost the Ludington Area School District thousands of dollars in repairs but has halted pool activities for an extended period of time.
Ludington Area Schools Superintendent Jason Kennedy said a broken pipe in the basement of the pool was to blame.
“During the weekend, one of the school’s custodians doing a regular maintenance check discovered only about 5 feet of water in the deep end of the pool,” Kennedy said. “Further inspection by the custodian revealed that the pump and filtration systems were working. The broken pipe was later discovered.”
