LADY GAGA APOLOGIZES FOR R. KELLY DUET

NEW YORK (AP) — Lady Gaga says she will remove her R. Kelly duet “Do What U Want (With My Body)” from streaming services and never work with him again. She writes on social media she is a victim of sexual assault and the song indicates “how explicitly twisted my thinking was at the time.” She says wanted to create something “extremely defiant and provocative” because she had not processed what had happened to her. Lady Gaga says if she could talk to her younger self, she’d tell herself to get therapy. Since she can’t go back in time, she says she can give support to sexual assault victims. She apologizes for her poor judgment and not speaking out sooner. Kelly has denied sexually abusing women and girls.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Michael Jackson estate says a documentary about two boys who accused Michael Jackson of sexual abuse is “just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations.” The film “Leaving Neverland” will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival later this month. It’s about two men in their 30s who say they were ages 7 and 10 when they began friendships with Jackson. The Jackson estate says the film is “yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson.” Director Dan Reed says in a statement, “If there’s anything we’ve learned during this time in our history, it’s that sexual abuse is complicated, and survivors’ voices need to be listened to.”

Bentley says he remembers being wide-eyed when he first met Montgomery Gentry at a Florida festival. He says there was debris and Jim Beam all over their bus and it was “a big party.”
