KNOKKE, Belgium (AP) _ Swedes Per-Ulrik Johansson and Robert Karlsson shared the lead with South Africa's Retief Goosen when darkness halted play Saturday during the third round of the Belgacom Open.

The three golfers were tied at 8-under with six strokes left in the third round, barely holding off defending champion Lee Westwood, who was just one shot back after an 8-stroke deficit on Friday.

Westwood completed his second round early Saturday, finishing with a 5-under-66. He continued to close on the leaders through much of the third round.

There was none of the miserable wet weather on Saturday that hit the North Sea shores earlier in the week, but the long shadows turned into sheer darkness after the leaders turned for home.

Westwood will finish the two holes he has left in the third round early Sunday before teeing off for the final round.

However, more rain is forecast for Sunday.

Former British Open and PGA champion John Daly struggled to an 8-over 79, and missed the halfway cut by five shots.
