Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society: Freddy, a handsome 3-month-old puppy, is a big boy at 30 pounds. He’s likely to reach about 60 pounds when he is fully grown. He’s a friendly, curious puppy who is ready to learn how to be a good puppy from his new family. Puppy classes are available from the shelter. Shay, a beautiful 2-year-old gray tabby, loves her cuddle time and is super friendly.
These and other animals are available for adoption from the shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Española Humane: Ricco is missing his family, who had to relinquish him under unfortunate circumstances. This 8-year-old male dog is shy and timid at first but after time will open up and is a real sweetheart. He’s looking for an older family without small children. Kitten Garde is a full ray of sunshine. This 14-week-old male kitten is great with other cats, loves chin scratches, toys and chasing things. He also loves to cuddle.

Felines & Friends: Kimchi and her two littermates were found in a yard in Roswell and taken to a foster family in Santa Fe. All three kittens are sweet and social, love playing with their siblings and enjoy their foster family. They would do best together or with a family that has an active cat or playful kitten. Mick and his sister were rescued after being abandoned. Both kittens are sweet and playful and would do well together or with another playful, active cat.

The Horse Shelter: Garth, a 3-year-old gelding, has a great personality and has been progressing well in training. Garth always tries hard to figure it out with help from the rider. He can walk, trot and lope comfortably. Garth will require an intermediate rider.
