AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Heather Schreiber scored 16 points and No. 17 Texas snapped a four-game losing streak with a 90-56 victory over poor-shooting Oklahoma State on Saturday night.
The Longhorns (15-7, 7-5 Big 12) smothered Oklahoma State (11-13, 3-8), holding the Cowgirls to 3-of-28 shooting in the first half.
Texas led 53-22 at halftime, shooting 58 percent and holding Oklahoma State without a field goal over a 10-minute stretch. The Cowgirls rank near the bottom of the Big 12 in every team offensive category.
Trisha Skibbe led Oklahoma State, which lost its fourth straight, with 15 points.
Texas took its largest lead at 66-24 with 14:05 to play. Oklahoma State didn’t score from the field on consecutive possessions until midway through the second half.
The victory was the 781st for Texas coach Jody Conradt, pushing her three games ahead of third-ranked Tennessee’s Pat Summitt.
Summitt has 778 career wins entering Tennessee’s game at No. 22 Georgia on Sunday. Texas plays at Tennessee on Tuesday.
