City’s Old-Fashioned Holiday Market Set For Friday, Saturday

WILKES-BARRE — The City of Wilkes-Barre’s third annual Old-Fashioned Holiday Market on Public Square will take place Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. The outdoor market includes over a dozen craft and food vendors, live entertainment, horse-drawn Victorian carriage rides, a live nativity and a visit from Santa on Saturday. Craft and food vendors include All Good Things Young Living Essential Oils, Azteca Grill Food Truck, Broken Coconut, Carmella’s Italian Pastries, Harry Karey’s, Hidden Creek Vineyard and Winery, Ice Crystals, Image of Beauty, Knotty Nikki, Lucky Dog W-B Designs, Miller Family Apiaries, Patriot Professional Services, Pine Valley Alpacas, Pittston Popcorn, Sammy’s Caribbean Grill, Stitches in Bloom, Toki Hats, Tony Thomas Catering, and Vikki’s Nut House. Carriage rides will be available 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Rides cost $5 per person, with proceeds benefiting CASA of Luzerne County and Wyoming Valley Children’s Association. They are presented by former Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen 2017 Madison Dompkosky. The live nativity, which features Moving River Ministries and animals from The Lands at Hillside Farms, will be presented 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Santa and his elves will visit Public Square between noon and 3 p.m. Saturday.
