No prison for man in fatal crash on Route 2

HUNTINGTON — A Huntington man convicted of killing his father in a DUI crash along Ohio River Road in Huntington in 2017 has been spared a prison sentence by a Cabell Circuit judge.

Clinton Lee Walker, 37, of Huntington, pleaded guilty to the DUI resulting in death in April, admitting to killing his father, Clinton Joseph Walker, in the Feb. 14, 2017, crash that occurred in the 5800 block of W.Va. Route 2 (Ohio River Road) near the YMCA Kennedy Center.

Cabell County Prosecuting Attorney Sean “Corky” Hammers had requested Walker be sent to prison for the fatal crash. Instead, citing the defendant’s diminished capacity due to physical and psychological injuries suffered in the crash, Cabell Circuit Judge Paul T. Farrell on Thursday ordered Walker to serve three to 15 years in home confinement.
