New principal to lead Beaumont United in its sophomore year
A Beaumont Independent School District veteran who started both her education and her career as an educator in the public schools here has been chosen to lead the staff and student body of Beaumont United High School.
Charisma Popillion was announced Tuesday as the new principal of Beaumont United for its second year. She will begin duties at the start of the 2019-20 school year, the district said in a news release.
Popillion has spent the majority of her life in Beaumont ISD, not only as a student but also as a teacher, administrator and parent. She is a 1998 West Brook graduate and she most recently worked as principal of Charlton-Pollard Elementary School.
