Denzel George (Bud) Turner

Denzel George (Bud) Turner passed away on March 26, 2018 in Franklin, Tennessee. He was born on February 6, 1935 in Lehi, Utah to Denzel Arthur Turner and Isetta May Littleford. He joined the Air Force in 1952 and served for 8 years. In 1961, Bud worked as a civilian in military intelligence and was awarded a 10-year pin for federal service. He worked in management positions until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, serving in the Atlanta LDS Temple, and telling tales from his youth. He married LaRue Allen on July 2, 1954, in Reno, Nevada and divorced in 1956. Bud married Denise Lamberti on July 13, 1956, in Zephyr Point, Nevada and their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on January 12, 1963. They divorced in 1978. He married Lorinda Lou Riggs on March 21, 1981 in Conroe, Texas and the marriage was solemnized in the Dallas Texas Temple in 1986. He was preceded in death by: son Michael Scott; parents; sisters June and Carol. Bud is survived by his wife: Lorinda; his children: RuAn Vawdrey Wynn, Denzel Gregory, Elizabeth Lee, Rebecca Lynn (Alberto) Gonzales, Adam Jeffrey, Christian Drew, Andrea Jennifer, Kylene Kleine, and Jared (Michelle) Kleine. 20 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters: Faye Sorensen, Shirley Moore, Mary Jane Jex, Susan (Errol) Bartholomew and David (Carla). He was cremated and will be buried following a graveside service in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah on October 12, 2018 at 1 pm.
