March 23, 2019

BRADLEY — Bradley police recovered 100 counterfeit $100 bills during a traffic stop on Wednesday.

Pedro Rodriguez-Torres, 36, was charged with forgery and possession of a controlled substance. A judge released him on a $30,000 recognizance bond on Thursday.

According to a prosecutor, a K9 was used on the car and detected the possible presence of drugs.

Officers recovered a bottle with 13 tramadol pills, which Rodriguez-Torres said were his, according to the prosecutor.

The counterfeit bills were located in the back seat. They all had the same serial number, according to the prosecutor.
