Court records: Cousin charged with helping to hide Pinkston
A Fort Wayne man charged in connection to a Thanksgiving triple murder was being hidden from police by his cousin, according to court documents.
Gerald Pinkston, 22, was arrested Sunday at a home on Dunbar Lane, and he is charged with three counts of murder in the slayings on Downingtown Drive.
His cousin, Sybron Pinkston, 30, was charged Monday with felony assisting a criminal for allegedly helping to hide his cousin. Police received a tip Gerald Pinkston had been staying at the Dunbar Lane home with Sybron Pinkston and the mother of Gerald Pinkston’s child, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Allen Superior Court.
Kameron Joyner, 22, also is charged with three counts of murder in the deaths of Joevonn M. Johnson, 23, Colton D. Messmer, 20, and Tracey A. Andrews, 21. He went to the Downingtown Drive home to kill Messmer about a drug debt, court documents allege.
