Hair Hub in Chubbuck hosts fundraiser event throughout October to benefit Pocatello Free Clinic, breast cancer awareness

October 4, 2018

CHUBBUCK - During the month of October Hair Hub in Chubbuck will donate five dollars of every woman’s haircut to benefit Pocatello Free Clinic. Woman will be encouraged to stop by and pick up educational pamphlets and self-breast examination cards.

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and one in 75 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in her lifetime. If you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, your risk could be at least 2x higher than that of the general population. Pocatello Free Clinic and Hair Hub are committed to saving women’s lives from breast and ovarian cancer by empowering them to live proactively.

“I feel passionate about helping those who have been affected by breast cancer,” said Stacie Campbell, owner of Hair Hub. “My Mother and sister are with us today because of proper self-examination and mammograms. I partnered with Pocatello Free Clinic so, no woman falls through the health care gap. Hair Hub’s goal is to raise $1000. Enough to cover the cost of 10 under-served woman. Together we can make a difference.”
