Lincoln County boys roll past Man

HAMLIN, W.Va. — Lincoln County had four double-figure scorers Friday in an 85-59 boys basketball victory over the Man Hillbillies.

Cory Garretson led the Panthers (12-2) with 23 points. Cadin Beckelheimer followed with 21, John Blankenship scored 16 and Hunter Hill added 13.

Man (5-6) had 13 points each from Andy Spaulding and Matt Spaulding.

Lincoln County plays at home Wednesday against Wayne.

FAIRLAND 39, ROCK HILL 32: Clayton Thomas scored 11 points as the Dragons (10-4 overall, 6-1 Ohio Valley Conference) defeated the Redmen (2-10, 0-7) in Pedro, Ohio. Logan Hankins scored 12 and Brayden Malone 10 for Rock Hill.

CALVARY CHRISTIAN 80, HANNAN 55: Robert Clutter, a 6-foot-5 senior center, scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Patriots (15-4) beat the Wildcats (3-9). Isaac Massie scored 18 and Scotty Parsons 11. Hannan was led by Casey Lowery with 20 points. Dalton Coleman scored 11.

JOHNSON CENTRAL 82, MAGOFFIN COUNTY 62: John King had 11 points and 12 rebounds in the Golden Eagles’ victory. Isaiah May scored 19 to lead Johnson Central (9-8). Aden Barnett’s 20 points led Magoffin County (12-3).

GRACE CHRISTIAN 69, ROSE HILL CHRISTIAN 30: Emily Hutchinson (17), Samantha Wells (16) and Hazley Matthews (15) led the Soldiers (11-3) with double-figure points. Delaynee Sparks scored 10 for the Royals (6-9).

The Soldiers play Monday at Ohio Valley Christian in Gallipolis, Ohio, and host a Tuesday game with Tolsia.

WINFIELD 63, SISSONVILLE 49: The Generals (11-3) used a 22-7 run in the fourth quarter to down the home-standing Indians (11-2). Lauren Hudson scored a career-high 21 for Winfield. Mara McGrew and Z.Z. Russell added 13 points each. Emily Hudson chipped in 12.

TOLSIA 70, SOUTH HARRISON 30: The Rebels (8-3) outscored the Hawks 31-6 in the third quarter to pull away for a victory in the Hometown Invitational Tournament in Lost Creek, West Virginia. Sarah Jude led Tolsia with 14 points. Lyndsie Cassell and Selena Browning each scored 11 and Julie Boone 10.

GALLIA ACADEMY 45, ROCK HILL 42: The Blue Angels (6-9 overall, 2-6 OVC) outscored the Redwomen 22-10 in the fourth quarter to win in Pedro, Ohio. Maddy Petro led Gallia Academy with 20 points. Junon Ohmura scored 12. Rileigh Morris led Rock Hill (2-10, 0-8) with 12 points.
