CHARLES “ED” DAVIS
CHARLES “ED” DAVIS, 76, of South Point, Ohio, died Thursday, November 22, 2018, at his home. He was born January 4, 1942, in Logan, W.Va., a son of the late Clarence Davis and Della Mayhone Davis. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kristina Davis, and four brothers, Marion Davis, Bud Davis, Johnny Davis and Mikey Davis. Ed worked as a mason and was the biggest Herd fan. Survivors include his wife, Gloria J. Fayne Davis; five children, Judy (Glenn) Snyder of West Hamlin, W.Va., Katrina Phelps of Russell, Ky., Charles Craig (Audrey) Tibbs of Deland, Fla., Kimberly (Duane Taylor) Duncan of South Point, Ohio, and John (Julie Jewell) Tibbs of South Point, Ohio; four sisters, Betty (Lonnie) Brown of Oklahoma, Patricia (Charlie) Liston of West Virginia, Susie Gordon of Ohio and Rosa (Ronnie) Galloway of Ohio; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Tony Schneider officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
