Next gen Dunkin’ Donuts coming to San Antonio this fall
San Antonio is waiting in line to receive the first so-called “next generation” Dunkin’ Donuts store in Texas.
The brand announced plans Thursday to open the modernized shop at 10029 San Pedro Ave. about a half-mile north of Loop 410 this fall.
The new models features an updated design aesthetic and several technology upgrades. Nitro-infused cold brew coffee and other on-trend cold beverages will be available from a brewpub-style tap system. Customers can order from digital kiosks in the store, or place an order from a phone and pick it up at a dedicated mobile order drive-thru.
Dunkin’ Donuts was launched in 1950 in Quincy, Massachusetts. The successful confection and coffee retailer has since expanded to more than 12,500 locations in 46 countries across the globe. In January, the brand’s first next gen shop opened in Quincy. At the time, Dunkin’ publicists said 30 or more new and remodeled stores nationwide would receive the next generation design.
