Broadrick to Leave Shawsheen Tech Superintendent Job
BILLERICA -- Shawsheen Tech officials are in the process of finding a new superintendent.
Current Superintendent Tim Broadrick confirmed Sunday he will be taking on the superintendent position at Prospect Mountain High School in Alton, N.H., on July 1.
He will serve part time at the new superintendent position “for the first few years” while he pursues a doctorate, Broadrick said.
Broadrick started as superintendent of Shawsheen Tech in August 2015. His current contract is set to expire in June.
According to the Schawsheen School Committee’s agenda, the committee will be appointing an interim superintendent at their Tuesday meeting. The meeting is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Committee Chairman Robert Gallagher was not immediately available for comment.
According to Broadrick, he is the third superintendent to serve Shawsheen Tech since it opened its doors in 1970.
