Montae Nicholson, Redskins safety, arrested on assault charge
Washington Redskins safety Montae Nicholson was reportedly arrested in Loudoun County, Virginia, early Tuesday morning after allegedly assaulting a man.
The incident began,according to police,after Nicholson and a woman he was with “pulled up in a vehicle and honked the horn” at another couple.
Nicholson faces charges of assault and battery and public intoxication. The woman with Nicholson was also charged.
The strong safety was one of the Redskins’ fourth-round picks in the 2017 NFL Draft, out of Michigan State. He was a starter at the beginning of the year before the team traded for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Nicholson has 41 tackles and a pass breakup this year.
