Bowling Green State University student reported missing

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Bowling Green State University police are seeking information after the family of a student from Michigan says he has not been heard from in about two weeks.

Police say Jacob Bromm, a freshman from Troy, Michigan, has not been in contact with friends or family since Nov. 20, according to a post on the university’s Facebook page.

Bromm, a resident of Kohl Hall on the BGSU campus, had told family members he was not coming home for Thanksgiving. He reportedly told friends he was taking a flight out west and indicated he planned on using an Uber to get a ride to the airport.

Cliff Bromm, the student’s father, tells the Detroit News his son did not tell him and his wife that he was planning a trip.

“Why would he take off?” Cliff Bromm tells the News. “He had $2 in his bank account. It doesn’t make sense.”

Police say there are no indications of foul play after investigating and reviewing security video.

The BGSU Facebook post requests anyone with information on Jacob Bromm call university police at 419-372-2346.
