November 19, 2018

Rolling slowdowns and temporary ramp closures are scheduled on Interstate 69 in DeKalb County from 9 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Tuesday, and drivers may want to take an alternate route, the Indiana Department of Transportation said.

Crews will be working on Interstate 69 between mile marker 324, north of the Allen County line, to mile marker 333, south of U.S. 6, the transportation department said in a statement.

County Road 11A to northbound Interstate 69 and Indiana 8 to Interstate 69 southbound will have temporary ramp closures during the work, the statement said. It said a flagger and law-enforcement will be on-site during the work.

Motorists can expect to slow down to 10 mph or less to allow crews to work safely over the highway, the transportation department said.

INDOT cautioned drivers not to proceed past law enforcement officers until after they have completely cleared the travel lane. Electronic message boards will alert drivers of the rolling slowdown.
