Who is the Biggest Rat in City Hall? Asks Coalition to Preserve LA

February 15, 2019

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 15, 2019--Coalition to Preserve LA:

What:  Press Conf., South Lawn Los Angeles City Hall When:  Friday, Feb. 15, 9 a.m. Who:  Housing is a Human Right/Coalition to Preserve LA

Joining us will be anti-corruption attorneys including Mitch Tsai and Grace Yoo, who have sued the city over what appears to be corrupt development deals, bad land-use practices and pay-to-play schemes.

We will call for an expanded investigation of corruption into Los Angeles City Hall. We did not elect developers, we MEANT to elect people who represent the residents of Los Angeles and think for themselves.

And we will demand that the City Council delay approval of controversial, campaign fund-oiled developments until the FBI reveals who it thinks are the rats.

The Coalition to Preserve LA recently submitted a complaint to the Los Angeles County Civil Grand Jury  asking for an investigation into the corrupt practices of city officials.

At the press conference, residents can take selfies with a giant 20-foot inflated RAT that will tower over the street. People will send a message to city leaders about how they really feel. #cityhallrats

Speakers will be available for Spanish, Korean and Mandarin media.

After the Friday press conference, residents will go inside City Hall to testify in City Council Chambers, beginning at 10 a.m., urging the Los Angeles City Council to hold off votes on controversy-steeped approvals that could be swept into the corruption probe.
