New dessert store, with lots of macarons, opening in downtown Provo
A new Provo business is holding its grand opening on Saturday, March 23, and it’ll be extra sweet for the first new customers.
Fillings & Emulsions, a self described Latin and eclectic patisserie, will open at 9 a.m.
The patisserie is known for its macarons, with flavors like blueberry mojito, pistachio and cherry, strawberry lemonade — and ships them across the U.S.
The business already operates a location in Salt Lake City, and was announced to be one of the new retailers in the expanded Salt Lake City International Airport by August 2020.
Fillings & Emulsions, 322 W. Center St., also features mini cheesecakes, tarts, Cuban pasteles, a variety of breads and croissants (guava cream cheese brioche, peanut butter and chocolate scones), all of which are likely to make your mouth water.
The store is headed up by Chef Adalberto Diaz, who spent several years teaching at UVU’s culinary arts program, and has made appearances on Food Network TV shows like “Holiday Baking Championship and “Best Baker in America.”
