LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) _ Chicago Bears running back Curtis Enis has a slightly torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder.

The Bears said Tuesday that Enis' rehabilitation will take two to three months.

Enis, who missed the last seven games of the 1998 season after he ripped up his left knee, came back this season to run for 916 yards. His longest run of the year was only 19 yards and he never had a 100-yard game.

He did, however, finish with a total of 1,256 yards from scrimmage, 10th best in the NFC.

He was held out of the season's last game against Tampa Bay with the shoulder injury. An MRI at the time was inconclusive, but the tear of the rotator cuff was discovered during arthroscopic surgery Friday.

The Bears also announced Tuesday they have signed three practice squad players and added two free agents to the roster. The practice squad players are defensive end Marlon Chambers, fullback Scott Dragos and wide receiver Chad Macey. The free agents are punter Aron Langley and linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo.
