Huskers hosting national lineman camp this summer
A national summer football camp is coming to Memorial Stadium in June.
Nebraska officials announced Wednesday morning that the football program is partnering with sponsor Adidas to bring a national offensive line/defensive line camp to Lincoln in June.
The camp will be one of the biggest draws of the month — which will also feature Friday Night Lights camps, a 7-on-7 tournament and other activities at Memorial Stadium and on campus.
We have partnered with @Adidas for a National OL/DL Camp here at Memorial Stadium on June 15th. More info and registration available for all camps/clinics at https://t.co/8bjR9dCiQmpic.twitter.com/v4sWzCROIy — Gerrod Lambrecht (@GerrodLambrecht) February 20, 2019
NU put on its own lineman camp last summer and drew some impressive regional talent, but the thought is that partnering with Adidas — coaches from many of the Adidas schools around the country will attend the camp — will help bring a higher overall talent level to campus.
It’s all part of what’s shaping up to be a busy June on the camp circuit. The Husker staff last year traveled around to many different camps but also put a lot of effort into its on-campus presence. This June, at least for a day, those efforts will be combined.
