WASHINGTON (AP) — Monday night’s game between the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals has been postponed because of rain.

The clubs will make up the game Thursday, a mutual off day, at 4:05 p.m.

The three-game series with playoff implications now opens Tuesday night.

Orioles right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez (11-9) was scheduled to face Nationals lefty Gio Gonzalez (11-7).

Baltimore entered Monday 5 1-2 games out of the second AL wild-card spot. Washington began six games behind the NL East-leading New York Mets.
