PASTORS-SEX CHARGES

TOLEDO _ Federal prosecutors say the wife and stepdaughter of a minister charged with child sex trafficking in Ohio abducted one of the victims and tried to talk her out of testifying at his upcoming trial. A federal complaint says the two women went to the victim’s apartment in Toledo and forced their way in with a gun. Both are charged with witness tampering. By John Seewer. SENT: 300 words.

_ FAMILY BAND SHOOTING: The attorney for a family-band musician who authorities say killed his mother and brother at the family’s Ohio farm says he plans to seek a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.

_ KROGER-DIGITAL SHELF TECHNOLOGY: Kroger is collaborating with Microsoft to test an upgraded digital shelf technology that the Cincinnati-based supermarket chain says could speed up shopping for its customers.

_ OFFICER STRUCK: A police officer in Colerain Township who was struck by a pickup truck while he was redirecting traffic after a crash has died.

_ TEEN SHOT-RUSSIAN ROULETTE: Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot in the head while playing Russian roulette in Akron.

_ CRAIGLIST JOBSEEKERS-LIST: The U.S. Supreme Court won’t hear an appeal from an Ohio man sentenced to death for killing three down-and-out men lured by fake Craigslist job offers.

_ CAMP DROWNING-LAWSUIT: The family of a 12-year-old Pickerington boy who drowned at a camp last year in Lakeville has filed a lawsuit against the camp and several staff members, charging wrongful death.

_ YOSEMITE DEATH: An Ohio man who died after falling into a river at Yosemite National Park on Christmas Day has been identified.
