Stamford crash closed part of Hope Street for hours
STAMFORD — A section of Hope Street was closed for nearly nine hours Thursday night into Friday morning after a crash, police said.
Around 9:45 p.m., Stamford police said Hope Street was shut down between Robin Hood and Woodway roads. Initial estimates indicated the road would be closed for about three hours, “due to a severed utility pole from a motor vehicle collision,” police said.
But police didn’t announce the reopening of Hope Street until around 6:25 a.m. Friday.
There were no immediate details released about the crash on Friday.
