Deputies look for car belonging to man found shot to death
LUMBERTON, N.C. (AP) — Deputies in North Carolina are looking for the missing car of a man who was found shot to death in a field.
The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office says on its Facebook page that deputies responding to a call of shots fired early Wednesday found the body of 23-year-old Avery Scurlock of Lumber Bridge. Maj. Damien McLean told The Robesonian that deputies found Scurlock dead from gunshot wounds.
Investigators say Scurlock’s car, a 2016 Ford Fusion SE, was last seen in the Lumberton area.
