Point of Interest: Brick building on Pacific Street could see renovations
583 Pacific Street: This old brick building, once owned by Pitney Bowes according to property records, could soon be renovated, the one-story annex razed and replaced by four stories of commercial space.
The two-story building at right, now filled with various commercial occupants, would remain. A public hearing on the plan is slated for Sept. 24 in City Hall, fourth floor at 7 p.m.
According to land records and business filings, the lot was purchased last year by a limited liability company, 583 PACIFIC CH, that is in turn owned by New York City developer HOGG Holdings.
The LLC bought the parcel for $2.45 million. It was last appraised in 2017 at $2 million.
